How to type in gujarati language using simple keyboard – for ex. to
type my name “Mayur Macwan” I would simply type “mayur mekvaan” to show
“મયુર મેક્વાન” .
Having done this few times already, i still have to Google around to
find the source fonts when I want to do it again after a while.
So thought of putting it up here for my own reference and may help others too.’
- check the table, find the language of your preference and the operating system

- it will download a zip file with the name GujaratiIndicInput2_64-bit.zip
- once the download is done, double click to open the zip file, extract it and open the extracted folder
- extracted folder will have two files. double click on the file that says “setup”
- it will run the application to install the fonts
- based on my current system (win 8), it automatically installed and i saw ENG on the right bottom corner of the screen

- if you dont see it, then go to control panel>language preference and you can set it from there.
- once you see ENG here, click on it and it will show the option to switch to the indic language you chose in the step 1

select the language and you are ready to go.
happy typing!
